The idea for the Sure Schedule church scheduling software was birthed one Sunday morning when I was at my local church waiting for the service to start and looking for a good cup of coffee. There was none to be found. I immediately thought of Jesus and the fig tree, but cursing the coffee machine did not seem to be the way to go.

Someone had been scheduled to make coffee that morning, but either they were not there or they had forgotten they had signed up to do this task. Being the President of a web development firm and being administratively inclined, I began mulling over this scheduling “mishap” as I set about procuring a cup of coffee. By the time I was 3 sips in, the Sure Schedule project had begun to take shape in my mind.

Upon consulting with numerous pastors and church organizations to get their input and an understanding of their requirements, the OTR web development team set out to design a system with the needs of churches in mind.  OTR has invested hundreds of programming hours in this project and the result has been Sure Schedule—a secure, web-based church scheduling software solution designed to assist in the administration of volunteers and ministries within churches.
